دنیای آو وارکرفت World of Warcraft

دنیای وارکرفت (World of Warcraft) که به اختصار WoW گفته می­شود، یک بازی نقش آفرینی آنلاین چندین کاربره است که در سال 2004 توسط کمپانی بازی­سازی بیلیزارد (Blizzard Entertainment) برای رایانه­ ها ساخته و منتشر شده است. دنیای وارکرفت درواقع چهارمین نسخه از این بازی در جهان فانتزی وارکرفت محسوب می­شود و روند داستانی بازی­های قبل را دنبال می­کند، با این تفاوت که از فضای استراژک بازی­های قبل قدم به سبک نقش­آفرینی گذاشته است.

اولین سری از این بازی با نام اروک­ها و انسان­ها (Orcs & Humans) در سال 1994 به دنیا معرفی شد و به ترتیب سری­های بعدی با نام­های، نهضت سوزان (The Burning Crusade) درسال 2007، خشم لیچ­کینگ (Wrath of the Lich King) در سال 2008، تحول عظیم (Cataclysm) در سال 2010، مه­های پانداریا (Mists of Pandaria) در سال 2012، جنگ سالاران درینور (Warlords of Draenor) در سال 2014 و لژیون (Legion) در سال 2016، به بازار بازی­های آنلاین معرفی شدند.

دنیای وارکرفت با بیش از 10 میلیون کاربر آنلاین در سال 2014، توانست بیشترین تعداد بازکن را در سبک MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) به خود اختصاص دهد و نام خود را در کتاب رکورد­های جهانی گینس به عنوان محبوب ترین بازی این سبک، ثبت کند...
